Buttercream Frosting Recipe For Decorating/ How to Make Buttercream Icing
Ingredients: 2 sticks (227 grams) unsalted butter, at room temperature 2 tbsp. whole milk or heavy cream 2 tsp vanilla extract 4 cups (500 grams) powdered sugar, sifted Procedure: 1.In a bowl cream room temperature butter with a hand mixer, the paddle attachment of a stand mixer, or a wooden spoon until smooth and fluffy. 2.Gradually add in 2 cups of powdered sugar until fully incorporated. 3.Beat in vanilla extract, and then add 1 tbsp. milk or heavy cream. A food color if required. 4.Beat 4-5 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
TIP: If buttercream frosting is too thick, add in more milk, a few drops at a time. If frosting becomes too thin, add in a small amount of powdered sugar
